The Member of Parliament for Portsmouth North, Penny Mordaunt MP has just been announced as the new International Development Secretary replacing Priti Patel.
Ms Mordaunt, was among the Conservatives who backed the leave campaign during the EU referendum. She said she was “delighted” to take on this role, as she visited her new department. Ms Mordaunt, was appointed as the first female minister for Armed Forces in 2015.
