Renewed efforts by police to tackle city centre crime and disorder have led to a two-thirds cut in the number of incidents after less than two months.
The city centre policing team is working with businesses in Commercial Road and Guildhall Square alongside Portsmouth Business Crime Reduction Partnership.
Before July when the Hampshire Police task force started work, the crime reduction partnership had more than 10 incidents of anti-social behaviour and crime, such as shoplifting, reported by businesses in Commercial Road but this dropped to three by mid-August.
