MILLIONS of pounds of Conservative government funding is coming Portsmouth's way, including cash from the Levelling Up Fund and the Future High Streets Fund.
Out of £20m allocated to the city by the Department of Levelling Up, £11.25m will be used for the port's extended passenger terminal for cruise ships.
A further Whitehall grant of £19.8m will pay for an innovative shore power system which will allow visiting ferry and cruise ships to turn off their engines and plug into shore power.
The city council has bought The Bridge Centre at Fratton from ASDA, thanks to the Future High Streets Fund.
