Help for homeless people

Portsmouth City Council has a number of services for people who are at risk of
homelessness or sleeping rough, some of which are run with the charity the Society
of St James (SSJ)

At the Civic Offices, Housing Needs, Advice & Support can be called on 023 9283

The Rough Sleeping Hub at Kingsway House, 130 Elm Grove, is open
seven days a week, 8am-4pm and can be contacted on [email protected] or call 023 9288 2689.

The hub, run by SSJ, offers food, showers, laundry, health care, storage of
possessions and advice on accessing other services.

The council has outreach services which find rough sleepers and offer them support.

If you’re concerned about someone you think is sleeping rough, go to www.streetlink.org.uk and log the details.
