Portsmouth City Council hs recently announced an extension to the e-scooter trial.
You have no doubt seen scooters whizzing up and down the streets – and perhaps even the pavements.
They are a convenient and environmentally-friendly mode of transport, and are undoubtedly popular.
But as the number of scooters grows (and we expect Christmas to produce another surge in numbers), we are asking: are they safe enough? How long before we see a nasty accident here in Southsea?
Do we need to put pressure on the Council and the Police to enforce existing safety laws?
